The project was to create an ad campaign raising awareness about disenfranchised voters for The Sentencing Project. The Sentencing Project is an organization that is fighting to end felony disenfranchisement. The concept of this project was to help people visualize how voter suppression silences the voices of American citizens. Many people see the stereotypical “bad guy” when thinking of an ex-felon, so this campaign pictures models that break that stereotype. The black and white photos, contrasted with the full color United States flag used as a gag, creates a very striking visual.
